I just never wanted anyone who walked through our doors to feel like they were on a conveyor belt, treated like another appointment on a screen rather than a person.
In fact, if you’d told me years ago that I’d end up opening salons, creating products, teaching estheticians and spending an unhealthy amount of time discussing eyebrows, I’d have laughed you out of the room. I came to America from England looking for purpose, not a business empire.
Long before I became an esthetician, I was an artist. I drew faces on anything I could get my hands on. School books, bedroom walls… I even managed to decorate my school Bible, which went down about as well as you’d expect. My fascination was never just beauty. It was people. Faces. Character. The tiny details that make every one of us different.
Turns out, I never grew out of it.
When I opened Queen Bee, I wasn’t trying to build the biggest salon. I simply wanted to build one that felt different. Somewhere people walked in, exhaled and thought, “Oh… this feels nice.”
I wanted guests to feel looked after. Properly looked after. Just welcomed, listened to and sent back out into the world feeling a little more confident than when they arrived.
People often ask what makes Queen Bee different. Honestly? It’s probably the fact that I notice absolutely everything.
I’m a British perfectionist with ADHD and a classic Virgo. My team will tell you I can spot one rogue brow hair from across the room. I notice when a towel isn’t folded quite right, when someone’s tea has gone cold, or when a guest looks a little nervous walking through the door.
Some people call it attention to detail. I call it caring.
Nearly twenty years later, we’ve grown from one little Los Angeles bungalow into four Queen Bee locations, a training academy, our own products and a community of incredibly talented people. None of it happened because I had some grand master plan. It happened because we never stopped trying to do things better.
Beauty trends come and go. Kindness doesn’t, great customer service doesn’t, and doing things properly definitely doesn’t. That’s the Queen Bee Way.
And if you’re wondering whether I still wander around the salons straightening retail shelves, adjusting cushions and fussing over the tiniest details…
The answer is, absolutely.
We have always believed that exceptional customer service is just as important as exceptional treatments. It’s a philosophy shared by every member of the Queen Bee team, where making people feel genuinely looked after is simply how we do things. It’s the Queen Bee way.
Luxury isn't about being fancy. It's about making people feel valued.
We test it. We question it. We perfect it. Only then does it earn the Queen Bee name.
Beautiful results begin with exceptional customer service, experienced hands, & an unwavering attention to detail. We do things properly. Every single time
